Shrouded Flares

Perennial Energy (PEI) designs Shrouded Flares for situations where visible flames must be minimized. Earlier this year, two clients from distinct industries and regions in the U.S. approached us with similar flare challenges:

  1. Renewable Natural Gas Project– Dairy farm in northern Wisconsin
  2. Abandoned Coal Mine Methane Application– Appalachian Region

In both cases, a flare without a visible flame was required. PEI’s shrouded flare design provided the ideal solution, maintaining high combustion efficiency and regulatory compliance while reducing flame visibility for populated or sensitive areas.

Features & Benefits

  • High combustion efficiency with minimal visible flame
  • Meets air quality regulatory requirements
  • Ideal for renewable natural gas (RNG) and methane applications
  • Safe for use in sensitive or populated regions
  • Designed for both remediation and energy projects

Additional Information

  • More technical details and design options are available in the brochures tab
  • Complete PEI product literature, including integration with Enclosed Ground Flares and Utility Flares
